What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a drug-free method of restoring health to people of all ages; from infants right up to the elderly.

Chiropractors treat problems with joints, bones and muscles, and the effects they have on the nervous system.

How does chiropractic work?

Working on all the joints of the body, concentrating particularly on the spine, they use their hands to make often gentle, specific adjustments (the chiropractic word for manipulation) to improve the efficiency of the nervous system and release the body's natural healing ability.

This decreases local pain, improves specific and general biomechanics and also allows the body to function at its best.

The most common reason why someone may see a Doctor of Chiropractic is for lower back pain. 80% of us will experience back pain at some point in our lives, and at present an astounding 30% of the UK population suffer with this condition.
