Treatment visits take varied lengths of time depending on what needs to be done. Some visits take only a few minutes while some may take about 10-20 minutes.
It all depends on the nature and stage of the condition and the needs of the individual patient. Your individual schedule will include a number of visits over a period of time and will be devised to give your body the optimum opportunity to heal itself in the shortest time.
Arrive a few minutes before your appointment this allows you to relax before your adjustment;
wear loose fitting clothing;
remove jewellery and scarves;
ask questions if you have any;
bring your diary to make scheduling appointments easier;
after your visit try not to get immediately into your car. Adjustments often hold better if you take a 10 minute stroll afterwards.
We accept BUPA, AXA PPP Healthcare, WPA health insurance and others.
The responsibility for paying fees remains with the patient. The clinic will, however, endeavour to fill out any forms to provide reports or receipts as required to help the patient’s insurance claims.
Missed or late appointments
If you are unable to make an appointment, please call the clinic, giving at least 24 hours’ notice. If an appointment is missed or cancelled without 24 hours notice, you will be charged your appointment cost in full.
Referring others
Our practice has been built on personal referrals so please let family, friends and loved ones know about Complete Care Clinic so that they too can experience all the benefits of chiropractic.
Your chiropractor needs a complete picture of your health in order to provide the best possible treatment for you as an individual. A full medical and health history is taken and you will be asked about personal and family medical history, including surgeries, medications, lifestyle activities and your symptoms (or body signals).
Examination
A thorough examination will then be performed at the initial visit. This will include orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic tests to help ascertain the problem areas. X-rays or MRI scans may be ordered if necessary.
Report of findings visit
This is when your chiropractor will explain what is wrong and what can be done to fix it. If chiropractic can help you a course of care will usually be recommended. Your individualised care plan or treatment schedule will be designed to give your body the best chance of healing.
What if we can't help?
Should your problem not be a chiropractic problem or within our scope of care, we will refer you to another appropriate health care provider.
Types of treatment
Chiropractors use many specialised techniques to identify and treat these spinal abnormalities and optimise overall health. The main technique used is the adjustment.
Some types of adjustment can cause a popping sound to occur in the joint. Others types use special tables and devices to deliver the specific force to the involved area.
Chiropractors also use soft tissue techniques for treatment to muscles, tendons and ligaments. Posture education and therapeutic exercise may be prescribed and nutritional, dietary and lifestyle advice might also be offered.
